Half way

The community service summaries that have been submitted are great! Thanks to everyone for all the effort on behalf of the community partner organizations.

The Global Fellows are really pleased with the contributions made by DeAnza students. The Tech is very appreciative of the volunteering by CIS2 students. I don't have personal contact with Project Gutenberg but they regularly express their thanks for their volunteers in public forums.

So we are at the half-way point in the course. The topics become more theoretical. There are several very interesting activities and discussions coming up that will help you appreciate the impact of computers and the internet on society. I hope that you will enjoy the reading and the coursework about these complex issues.
